The Structure of MBT Shoes
The benefits of wearing and exercising with MBTs come from their uniqe Structure and Construction.
The effects result from the interplay of the following components:
1. The Inner sole
2. The Shank: the TPU and glass fibre shank provides the necessary firmness for the sole construction. It also ensures a natural rolling movement of the foot with every step and optimizes the pressure distribution over the whole sole.
3. The PU mid sole with pivot: the balancing section integrated in the PU mid sole underneath the metatarsus requires an active rolling movement with every step and activates a large number of stabilising muscles throughout the whole body both when walking and standing.
4. The Floater: the Floater is the heart of Masai Barefoot Technology. It produces a pleasant feeling reminiscent of walking on a sandy beach or on soft moss – and creates the natural instability to which the body automatically reacts with increased muscle activity.
5. The Outer sole
